The Day BHL Went To The Dogs!

   Well, I suppose it was inevitable that sooner or later my show would go to the dogs! Actually, a dog produced the most memorable moment this morning in a fast-paced three hours that had us taking calls on a host of local and national talk topics.

    It happened when I was trying to get the right answer to the daily Budman's Brainbuster Question just before 8 a.m. When one contestant came on the line to guess the answer, his dog was in the background barking like crazy. The caller gave the wrong answer, so I asked him what the dog was saying. He paused a few seconds while the dog kept barking, and then said "Molly the dog says the answer is 65". 65 was the right answer, so we awarded the prize to the dog!!!  It was hilarious, and if you want to hear how it all went down, check out our Podcast of the show, here on our web site!

White House "Drone Attack" !

  Now that I have your attention, that headline refers to President Obama droning on and on during Wednesday's news conference - his first in 8 months!

  As I said on this morning's show, I think he may have purposely made his answers long winded and evasive in hopes that no one will nag him about having any more news conferences! Speeches with a teleprompter and interviews by sympathetic hosts who lob him softball questions, are much more appealing to President Obama because they are far more controlled environments. A few more of those "drone attacks" like we saw yesterday, and the presidential news conference may be on the political endangered species list!
