Here's the story I closed with this morning. It's about Illinois Senator Mark Kirk who made a heroic return to Congress yesterday after suffering a stroke that nearly killed him. Kirk went through grueling physical therapy to rebuild his life, and was determined to walk up the 45 steps of the Capitol and take his seat in the Senate. Having watched my own Dad fight his way back from a debilitating stroke, this story left me overcome with emotion. I wouldn't be surprised if you react the same way.
