As expected, President Obama has officially nominated former Republican Senator Chuck Hagel for Defense Secretary. Hagel's in for some tough questions during confirmation hearings, particularly relating to his soft support for Israel and his statements about Iran.

  On the plus side for Hagel, he is a decorated Vietnam War veteran and would be the first enlistd man ever to hold the top slot at the Pentagon.

 A  s you'll see in the video below, President Obama will use Hagel's service record to try and sell him to skeptics in Congress. My guess is Chuck Hagel will survive the hearings and be confirmed by the Senate...but not without a fight.
