To Mars and Back in 3 Hours!!! 

   Hope you had your seatbelt on this morning, as yours truly, the Budman, put the pedal to the metal on a slew of hot talk topics that took us from Florida to Mars and back!

   As you check out some of the videos we've posted below, here are my takes on a few things we got into here on the "50,000 Watt front Porch":

Rick Scott's State of the State speech - the Governor painted a rosey picture of his performance in what clearly was a campaign speech for re-election. More and more I'm convinced that Scott is vulnerable and that he deserves to have a primary fight, so the Republicans nominate the candidate best able to win in the general election. Scott's backing away from the conservative principles that appealed to me, and the State of the State address showed once again that he's not a smooth and compelling speaker. I say it's time for the likes of Adam Putnam and Pam Bondi to think seriously about challenging Scott for the the GOP nod!

Jeb Bush - all of a sudden Jeb's sounding like he'll run for President in 2016. As I said on today's show, he's a quality man, well versed on the issues and a genuine patriot. However, Jeb lacks charisma, which will hurt him on the presidential campaign trail. In addition, there will be voter pushback against electing three people from the same family to the highest office in the land. I don't think Jeb Bush is electable, and that's why I hope he chooses not to run!

Round trip to Mars - check out the video below on plans to send a married couple to Mars and back on a 501 day voyage. That's 16 months in outer space with just you and your spouse, confined to an area about half the size of an RV. As I said on the show, I think very few marriages could survive that much togetherness, even if the couple survived the long and dangerous space flight!
