The Budman - Shocked and Dismayed!

   The sudden resignation of Florida's Lt. Governor, Jennifer Carroll, took me completely by surprise and yes, left me shocked and dismayed. It wouldn't surprise me at all if she faced criminal charges in connection with this unfolding scandal involving an internet cafe operation she has had close connections to. That remains to be seen, but as I said on this morning's show, when Jennifer Carroll was chosen as Rick Scott's running mate, I considered it to be a brilliant pick, and believed Carroll was a rising star in state politics who had absolutely unlimited potential. I mean, c'mon, a career Navy woman, an attractive, well spoken black, female conservative....it doesn't get any better than that. I have interviewed Jennifer Carroll several times and have always found her to be articulate and well versed on the issues. Who knows that the future holds for her, but politically, I think it's the end of the road..and what a sad end it is.
